One good memory from our childhood is stuck with video games. This proves that a part of human mind development is constituted by the practice of playing various video games. The referred article states the notion of development by usage of video game “Peacemaker” in the class which assisted students to learn foreign policy, geographical national boundary tactics, and opt for various determinations for the state. Moreover, the game provides a platform to act as a negotiator or a politician which is immensely beneficial.
One can believe that it is a substantial commodity to nourish tactical skills for students. It also assists students to extend critical thinking skills. The intriguing storyline in modern video games form an essence of emotional attachment. I remember I played a video game named “The last of us” and I literally formed an emotional bond with the riveting plot line.
There are various impediments and drawback regarding video games which can’t be omitted is that the cost of console gaming is quite expensive. The argument is not merely elucidating that it is the only source of learning but also a source of entertainment. So, is the cost invested in console gaming for learning provides adequate comparative advantage? Secondly what positives do we acquire from games like Grand Theft auto (which includes violence, raving, abduction and salacity)?
The answer to the first question is “Not really” because whatever we may learn through gaming it can,t really be applied to our real life. There may come many situations in life when you have to decide about something where your knowledge can’t directly be applicable. you have to use your common sense first, then decide. And secondly I am strongly against the game “Grand theft auto” because it is all about Violence and all that. And the research has proven that aggressive video games increase aggression in children. I have a practical example my brother loves playing GTA. He is 13 years old and he reacts aggressively during or after playing the game. He fights with the younger sister and says ” I will kill you with my knife as it happen in GTA”. So i Having seen this practical example of the research have a strong view that it has more harms than benefit.

No doubt,we learn learn from everything in our environment because its ability of human brain to learn from new things.I am not totally against to the video games of children because I think games like puzzle and calculating games(which include calculations) increase the logical reasoning and higher level thinking of students.Yes,one negative aspect also contain video games such as violence, aggression etc, learn from fighting games.Personally,I like car racing games and cooking games and i learned different things to bake from the cooking games including pizza and cake.
Yes, even being so costly, it is worth it and the learning through gaming source effectively provides adequate advantages. But then again, it is good as long as the video games are played to a certain extent and limitations. A person playing such a game would realize the consequences of such actions and thus, will never actually try those things in real life, because real life does not come with cheat codes to make things go away quickly.
Yes games are good source of learning, because in this way thinking, reasoning and logic are involve. They increase the IQ level of children and high order thinking skills. But it have some limitations because most of the children waste lots of time in gaming and if their parents say something they become angry. Its a negative effect also because whatever happening in the video games, children apply in real life, which creates lots of problems for others.I also like video games because its a good source of entertainment.
Yes,games are good source of learning because critical thinking, reasoning and logic are involved and increase the IQ level of children. But its a negative effect also because every thing has some advantages and dis advantages. Most of the children spend their time on video games rather then study and waste lots of time. If their parents say something they become angry very quickly. The second thing is that they act and behave like whatever happen in the video games,it creates lots of problem for others.I also like video games because its a good source of entertainment.
The topic would of vital interest to most people present here probably. However, if I may recall I mostly had misadventures installing and playing the games. I would say that the games help build the students, the sharpness, the tactics and the techniques and it also teaches the students how to accept the defeats and how victory should be celeberated, thus training the mind of the teacher, probably cognitive learning that happens as I understand it in the nick of time.
There fore, the above statement would carry a positive answer to both the questions made in the original paragraph.
thanks 🙂
