Which Road to Travel? ‘Technology’ or ‘No Technology’

Just as the Darwin’s Theory of Evolution suggests that every organism has undergone through the process of evolution in order to adapt well into their existing environment, same as the present world of technology has evolved different domains so as to make us adjust with the changing world.
On one hand, people like Clay Shirky who teaches Interactive Telecommunication Program at New York University has developed an online education system, in an interview with The Chronicle Review stressed about implementing the culture of getting all information through a medium of Internet. While on other hand, people like Nicholas Carr advocates in his article, ‘Is Google Making Us Stupid?’ that, internet is distracting and new technology can only change our natural intelligence into artificial intelligence.
For me although, it’s way hard to detach yourself from technology these days, still I think that we are neither robots nor we have a weak immunity to easily get detach from the physical world. What would you people think, is it possible to stop yourself from being too much absorbed into this world of technology?

In this modern era, technology is considered as one of the indispensable parts of the modern human life. Although, a large number of people may disagree that positive impact of technology has surpassed the negative influence on mankind. There are three main areas in which we can actually say that technology paid impact. If we talk about communication, so with the passing phase, the technology has developed to a great extent starting from the toy string telephone to the smart phones in the modern era. Developed technology made communication very easier. Likewise, in education researchers have proved that students with better access to technology have more chances of learning and doing well in school. Therefore, most of the schools are introducing classroom technology in for teaching. We can’t deny the importance of internet when it comes to research and supplemental studies for students of all levels. Similarly, Health care sector, the positive effect of technology is undeniable, especially in the health care sector. Most of the hospitals are more organized and more efficient in saving people’s lives.
Therefore, importance of technology in present era of science cannot be denied.
The Darwin’s theory of ‘survival of the fittest’ can also be applied in this discussion of technology or no technology. As Darwin suggests that only the fittest organism from a specie survives, same is the case with our survival in the modern world, if one wants to survive and work in a better fashion technology is a must. i don’t know from where one should start about the merits of technology, from education, medical, entertainment to communication, travelling hence every field in today’s life has a touch of technology. in education, technology is helping us in printing the books, with access to online books and journal articles, then in medical, all the machines saving the lives of people, travelling by more advanced means, communicating to our loves ones from different parts of world, all is what but a wonder of technology. Talk about virtually anything from any field, we have a bit of interference of technology in there. for me, i’ll travel the road which takes toward technology.
it is said that we are living in the world of technology and I do agree with this statement.
technology is very important for us these days. we are living in an era where everything starts and end with technology…. from old wired telephones to digital wireless cell phones, from blackboards and chalks to laptops and projectors, from rote memorization to conceptual classroom, technology has taken place vigilantly.
so for me, yes we should travel on a road with technology because at the end of the day everyone wants to achieve their destiny with ease which can be only be achieved by the use of technology in this world of technology….
If we focus particularly on this present era so, i would like to say that technology is the backbone of educational system. Like using internet smart phones and different apps in the curriculum. Before saying anything further about this post i would like to mention that i have some disagreements regarding this post/article. Firstly i would like to say that we should not have to bound ourselves only to the technology/internet we are humans and we can create knowledge through processing our cognitive abilities and moreover we can also think beyond the visible. I am not negotiating this thing that we should have absorb ourselves into the world of technology but i am trying to convey that due to some extent if we absorb ourselves to much into the world of technology then i think there is no need to go to the libraries or get attached with some instructor and we can even sit at home and get education. Lets suppose that with the help of technology we are getting online things but did we learn something. That is why there are institutions which teach us that how to collaborate with each other and teach us social norms.So, at the end i would like to say that don’t relie much on internet because i think Google is making us stupid and changing our natural intelligence into artificial intelligence we should try to create/handle the things by our natural abilities in this way we can also stops ourselves to don’t be to much absorbed into the world of technology
Would I be wrong to say, technology is being used in every nook and corner of this universe? Well i believe this is absolutely correct ,we have to face this without technology we stand nowhere. Its playing an important role in our lives. Teaching with the help of technology would def help us become better in every aspect, we are living in an era in which one can simply cant think of doing anything without using the technologies. This is the fact , we have no choice we are so dependent on it now, one has to travell by the road of technology.
I am in favor of the people who are in favor of Clay Shirky because if people would not absorb into this world of technology then they would definitely be left behind. They would not be able to talk with confidence with a person who takes interest in technology because he would have a lot more knowledge than us. He would be giving us logic about a certain thing but we will not be able to even decide whether he is right or wrong because we would not have this much knowledge to even judge him. Now a days having superiority in technology is a blessing for a person.
It is true technology plays an important role in our everyday life, technology is used for multiple purposes, it has made civilization much more advanced compared to times of our ancestors. I do favor Clay Shirkys idea as life without technology in this era would be quite difficult, so we should focus on the positive points and use technology in different sectors of education and take advantage. But at the same time we shouldn’t become so dependent on technology that we forget the value and the importance of mankind, which is now happening in a way. It depends on us how we chose to use technology we can either use it to benefit from it (to learn, research, communicate etc) or put ourselves to waste like instead of using our minds to solve our work or working hard we just depend on the internet to get the work done for us. There should be a certain balance that we should maintain in using technology, how and to what extent.
